About Me
While grateful for having grown up in a small town on a farm, I craved to learn more than what my small little world had to offer. I had (and still have) a deep desire to learn about others. I want to learn their religion, how they exist in a community, how they farm and cook for their families, what their homes look like and what brings them joy.
I have ridden a camel on the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert and slept in a Berber tent camp at the end of the day. I’ve explored the jungles of Madagascar searching for lemurs, chameleons and plants endemic to the country. I’ve met serval tribes in Ethiopia and was welcomed into their homes, to their ceremonies and offered to sip some of their homemade honey wines and whiskey. Experiences like these feed my soul. However, I’m also really great at being lazy on the beach and love to frequent Isla Holbox, Mexico in particular.
